BUSHFIRE KITTY

Janie Hubble and Ros Cumming designed ‘Bushfire Kitty’ to help raise funds for those people affected by the bushfires in Victoria, Australia on Black Saturday
7th February, 2009.

Bushfire Kitty, with his singed whiskers and his bright yellow firefighter’s pants
will serve to remind stitchers everywhere of the terrible plight faced by so many people
on that fateful weekend, and acknowledges the efforts of the brave men and women
who took part in helping to fight the fires.

Bushfire Kitty raised a total of AUD585.99 - a wonderful, wonderful response from stitchers all over the world.

Janie and Ros thank everyone who donated to this cause.

Bushfire Kitty has now retired from active duty. He might appear one day in a group
chart of Cat’s Whiskers Krazy Kitties, but at this stage he is just looking forward
to a good long rest, and a nice cup of tea.
